PASTA REMOLI:  Bringing North West London to life is exactly what’s happened with Quintain’s Wembley Park, located in the London borough of Brent.
Bursting with shops, restaurants, accommodation and exciting things to do for all, it’s a place not to be missed on your travels out in London, not to mention it’s on the doorstep of London’s two most iconic venues OVO Arena Wembley, formerly Wembley Arena and Wembley Stadium.
Wembley Park is literally a place within a place and simply bustling with life and joy. I have to tell you about the huge array of restaurants with cuisines spanning from one end of the globe to the other, and if you are wanting a perfect Italian lunch or dinner then be sure to check out the fabulous Pasta Remoli. This restaurant is widely expanding in terms of branches and the restaurant brings you the very best in authentic Italian cuisine, with many favourites and more on the menu to choose from. I have to say I was very surprised when I dined here as like many restaurants there is always something that might not tick a box but with Pasta Remoli, I had zero complaints.
If you are a little bit more hungrier then I would recommend checking out the selection of starters as there is everything from classic bruschetta to deep fried rice balls, beautiful salads and Burrata Cheese & Parma Ham with Gnocco Fritto. There is a lot more on the menu but these have to be my favourites and so I couldn’t go without sharing the love for them. They were so easy on the eye and came out presented beautifully but importantly they left you wanting more. There are also starters containing seafood, chicken liver and meatballs so a nice selection for all tastes.
The main course selection was on point, there was everything from the nation’s favourite being the Spaghetti Carbonara to a good selection of ravioli dishes and then going a little bit more up- market you have the signature dish being the fresh lobster spaghetti which I have to say is also on my list for next time. The lobster was fresh, tender and beautifully seasoned. It looked very vibrant and tasted wonderful.
What I really liked was the fact that for the main courses, you could choose your own sauce and your own pasta shapes and the dishes either come in regular or large sizes but believe me, regular is MORE than enough. There is also a kid’s menus on hand for your little eaters and a nice choice of dishes for them. The service is exceptional, the staff are certainly on hand to assist should you need any recommendations or clarifications on dishes and there is a very homely and humble feeling around the restaurant. The food portions are definitely not your average and by this I mean that they more than fill you up which is a good thing as it’s always nice to be able to get your money’s worth and Pasta Remoli definitely are very generous in that area. The dishes are extremely flavoursome and what you would get if you were in Italy as the owners are authentic Italians and the chefs cook to the highest of standards.
Pasta Remoli is definitely a restaurant for families, couples or even a get-together of friends and it has a chilled out vibe and also very bright and airy. They do have outdoor seating and also a covered section as well which is great for warmer days and nights. The Aperol Spritz was a lovely refreshing drink which is also very popular to have alongside your starters so I would definitely recommend this and it’s a drink that tends to last as well, with a beautiful summery feel and taste to it. This place has the best hospitality and the food was just something else. I got to experience something amazing, the food was FULL of taste and almost like I was transported from Wembley Park and sitting in Italy with my Aperol Spritz next to me. When looking at the deserts, they had the traditional cannoli desert which came in three flavours and is highly yummy and a little naughty but worth it. You can see straight away quality is there and freshness too as all the food, including the desserts is made in house and certainly with lots of love.
Pasta Remoli is very much the Italian gem which was a pleasure to dine at. Whether you want to go in for a quick bite to eat, a lunch or a romantic dinner then you won’t be disappointed, it’s a lovely restaurant with a welcoming feel and atmosphere. MASALCHI:
If you are after something a little bit more exquisite, ethnic and upscale, then be sure to check out two-star Michelin chef Atul Kochhar’’s restaurant ‘‘Masalchi’’ in Wembley Park, only a stone’’s throw from the famous Wembley Stadium and the OVO Arena Wembley.
Masalchi is just beautiful, from the outside to the inside, the grand decor and the style and flair of this restaurant has to be seen to be believed. The food is very much traditional Indian but with a fine dining aspect, where you are not left hungry and where there is something for all. The menu is very much split up into sections so you can clearly see what is available and are able to delve deeper into food areas of interest, so you can check out the street food or look at the grill section and more…
Despite Masalchi being owned by a two- starred Michelin chef, the prices are extremely affordable and the portions are well worth it, there is certainly value for money here and there is also something for all the family in terms of tastes and spice levels.
The staff are very helpful and the service also runs perfectly and so I found it very easy to order and I felt like they cared and put everything into making it a dining experience to remember.
Some favourite starter dishes to share the love were the grilled lamb chops (LAHORI CHAAPEIN), the spicy and crispy prawns (AMBASARI JHINGA) and the spiced potato in sweet yoghurt with chutney (ALOO PAPDI CHAAT). There was a lot more on the menu but these are some favourites covering vegetarian, meat and pescatarian options.
The main courses are simply delightful and have everything you would normally love to eat in terms of Indian cuisine but there are also some special dishes which are highly recommended and worth treating yourself to. For me, I love a good biryani and so I had to try Masalchi’s chicken biryani as it was one recommended and it had a very Southern Indian feel and flavour to it. I was extremely impressed and found it to taste very rich and it left you wanting more but not leaving you feeling overly full. It was nicely accompanied with riata yoghurt and there was enough to share around.
A very popular dish that I saw many others ordering was the chicken tikka masala, this dish smelt amazing and certainly was not to be missed off the order. This dish was everything and more and importantly it was authentic to the point where it wasn’t overly sweet and it was in a very traditional masala sauce., Iit was tasty and the chicken was cooked perfectly, and a dish for those who don’t like or can’t take too much spice, so this served with rice and a roti was simply perfect.
Drinks wise, what I liked was that there were some very traditional drinks on the menu, such as Indian beers and also soft drinks which you wouldn’t usually find and where Atul also concocted his own range of cocktails – perfect for a night out with the girls!
Overall, the restaurant has a very lively and grand feel to it with a very nice atmosphere and where you are not feeling rushed or pressured to order anything, you are simply free to enjoy a lovely and relaxing evening. If you still have room for a little extra, then be sure to delve into the desserts and have something cheeky and sweet. The desserts were delicious and nice to share amongst family and friends. The tastes were very different (in a good way), moreish and you wish there was more on its way!!! Some dessert favourites were the kulfi which is Indian ice-cream and Gulab Jaman which is the tastiest cheese dumplings (Indian style) in a rose syrup. I absolutely loved these and would say these are the ones to order but there are other lovely choices on the menu as well.
The restaurant was the perfect place for dinner and the evening just flowed perfectly, the staff were on hand whenever you wanted them and nothing was a trouble. They were polite, friendly and the food was always served hot, fresh and looking like a masterpiece.
