London hotels are a plenty but tucked right in the heart of London, the Zedwell Hotel at Piccadilly Circus is honestly like a little sanctuary amidst the city’s vibrant buzz. Very different to most hotels I have experienced, as soon as you step inside, you’re greeted by a minimalist, yet modern vibe designed to help you unwind, even in the midst of the bustling West End.

This hotel really does give off Scandinavian simplicity as the design is clean, there are many warming wood tones, and ambient lighting that feels like a gentle exhale after the heavy bustling environment outside.
The Zedwell hotels main goal for their guests is simple – it’s to rest and who does love a great nights sleep!
The hotel still combines the luxury in its design but where there is very much a simple no frills atmosphere so unlike other hotels, there is no room service or windows; this hotel is simply for travellers who value peace over polish. So if you are in London for a quick theatre trip, a weekend getaway, or you just want somewhere stylish without the sensory overload to sleep then this is your spot. You are literally on the doorstep to all shops restaurants and transport links are absolutely amazing so you cannot go wrong with this hotel.

The hotel might be very minimalist in its interior but included in your stay still has Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, there is a 24-hour reception and luggage storage, a Fitness studio with modern equipment for those who can’t skip leg day and a Vending area for quick snacks and drinks. At the Piccadilly Circus location the Zedwell does have a simple but well stocked café on the basement floor where you can grab a selection of sandwiches hot drinks, fruit and breakfast items so it’s perfect for being on the go.
As soon as you enter you will see Self-check-in kiosks, making arrivals fast and easy. There are also Air-conditioned Cocoons, each with private en-suite bathrooms and rainfall showers.
I have to say that the beds are extremely comfortable. The lighting really sets a beautiful mood and the bathrooms are really nicely designed with beautiful range hours so you can definitely be sure of a comfy night sleep and also to feel refreshed for whatever your day or night has in store for you. The staff were extremely friendly and were happy to assist with any queries and we will always greeted with a smile. For my first time staying at the Zedwell, I was very impressed with the whole hotel. It’s facilities and it’s surroundings and would certainly recommend this whether you are wanting an affordable night stay in London or whether you are with family or a group of people there are a wide range of rooms to choose from ranging from single cabins to family cocoons to a bigger space should you wish to party with a few more people.
The cocoons that sleep for people are perfect as they are almost bunkbed style but slightly bigger and very safe even for younger ones I would say above the age of five it’s a great concept and cozy yet spacious at the same time. Although there isn’t a luggage specific bench in the room or what you might find in other hotels, there is a separate space where you can store your luggage at the foot of the bed or even on the floors. There are no hairdryers in the room so either best to bring your own or on the third floor. There is a beauty room where you can go and dry your hair, so it’s just to pick whatever works for you! We did have to ask for a couple of extra pillows however this was not a problem as the staff for more than willing to assist with our needs and always greeted us with a smile and were very much friendly and happy to help!
Despite the hotel not having any of it’s own restaurant facilities attached, this really is not a problem as within a few minutes walk you can find yourself in Chinatown or maybe take a walk along alongside nearby Regent Street where you will find more restaurants and bars. Piccadilly circuits itself and bearing off the Trocadero Centre there are also some fantastic restaurants ranging from Italian to American and more you will certainly not be sure of places to enjoy some beautiful food. Leicester Square and Piccadilly tube station or nearest walking distance to the hotel.
Overall, I would say that the stay was absolutely perfect. The rooms were a lot bigger than imagined and where they provided most of the usual basic and hotel amenities and for what the rooms are for and the location of the hotel and elegance and style. I would certainly recommend this to all my family and friends as it really does provide you with a great sleep experience. The staff were absolutely wonderful and the location was absolutely amazing for being in the heart of Central London and London’s Piccadilly Circus/Leicester Square. It does give you nighttime vibes when walking in and out of the hotel but it’s such a nice experience and I really enjoyed staying at this hotel as did my family! There are quite a few different room options of which you can explore further on the website and where they also have a couple of other locations dotted around central London.
Despite not having a TV in the room which was a first for us all it really gave quality family time and where we were able to get out and explore London and come back after many hours for pure relaxation peace and a great night sleep so in fact the Zedwell hotel really did live up to its name and provide The perfect sleep. The rooms are very well soundproofed and the rain shower in the bathroom is divine. They also have a very luxury range of toiletries to hand in the bathroom and their towels are lovely, so thick and soft. It really was a lovely hotel and stay and definitely a hotel that I would stay in again in the future.
