    Fashion Division brings to you upcoming talents from Indonesia

    Representing 13 brands, including graduates from 3 fashion Universities on the 5th of March

    Fashion Division is honored to announce their womenswear A/W 2022 fashion show representing upcoming and fresh talents. Fashion Division is an internationally established fashion career center debuting and promoting Southeast Asian brands and designers developing international Collaborations in the capital city of fashion.

    The show was held at the prestigious Westin Paris, Vendôme 3 rue de Castiglione, 75001 Paris, on the 5th of March 2022 during Paris Fashion Week.

    The show exhibited collections by the 12 brands, along with students from 3 Indonesian fashion universities. The brands include Harry Halim a celebrity favorite, AKSU, PURANA x Amero, VAR ERTE, Carol Chen, Adisza Kahanasty, AM by Anggia, Hanyutan, Adraworld, and Elima. A unique collaboration to highlight is Adraworld who has partnered with established Indonesian perfumery, HMNS, and was featured during the event. The fashion universities that handselected their top graduate collections to be showcased are Lasalle Surabaya, Universitas Ciputra Surabaya, and BINUS Northumbria University.

    In the words of Karl Lagerfeld, “Fashion is not only about clothes – It’s about all kinds of change.” This new upcoming talent is that change.

    HARRY HALIM

    Harry Halim has established himself as a fashion designer with a distinctive voice on a global stage, having dressed celebrities such as Cardi B, Billy Porter, and Tinashe. He showcases a unique signature style using sculptural shapes, bold cutting, and a twisted take on romanticism. Those elements formulate the perfect essence that empowers every individual who wears HARRY HALIM.

    First debuted during Jakarta Fashion Week, AKSU is a brand targeted to young fashion and art enthusiasts who appreciate originality, uniqueness and conceptuality that are kindled by culture, art and music.

    PURANA x AMERO

    Purana, meaning ‘old scripture’ in Sanskrit, was established with the commitment to adopt local wisdom, by utilizing artwork made by local artisans and combining them with fashionable cuts, patterns, and color mix.

    VAR ERTE

    VAR ERTE embraces Human, Rawness, and Fault — The three identities interpreted for a neo-approach in ready-to-wear fashion. It is a fusion of modern and intricate detailing while implementing gender fluidity amongst the collections.

    A sustainable brand that uses recycling as its design strategy. They utilize rejected denim garments from local factories, with a combination of locally made environmentally friendly textiles.AM carries themes of androgyny, deconstruction, sporty casual aesthetics.

    Responding to social issues with fashion creations by Hayuning Sumbadra. She uses strong prints, colours and shapes to conveye motion and social change. HMNS is an established Indonesian perfumery. “Made for Humans” is their principle in perfume making.
