The most anticipated film of the year has now arrived – and is it as pinktastic as expected?
Yes there’s lots of pink! Plus there’s also a perfect Margot Robbie as Barbie (well every doll in the filmis called Barbie – a running joke in the film). And as the photo above attests, we are treated to a wonderful Ryan Gosling who steals every scene he is in. Yes, there is talk about award nominations for his performance – it’s that good, and he’s perfectly cast as shy Ken who just can’t get his mojo when Barbie is around.
What about the film? Well it loses its way halfway through as the plot doesn’t keep up with the tempo of the beginning. And lots of questions arise as to ‘how’d they do that’ and ‘how’d the get there’ because they are supposed to dolls – or are they?
All in all it’s a fun movie, whether you’re a fan of Barbie or not!
