    FAB UK Magazine Review:

We love the ‘Fast and the Furious’ films – they’re full of action, adventure, drama and the acting isn’t bad. But The Expendables franchise is a whole different story.

The acting is bad at best, the explosion scenes look extremely fake, and in this new version (4) top billing Sylvester Stallone puts in a brief appearance (if this is who you came to see, forget about it then).
Rugged and handsome Jason Statham is left to hold the movie together, though most of his scenes show him battling the enemy, in between tender moments between him and his partner, the amazingly beautiful Megan Fox.
The plot is just atrocious, and makes even less sense than the previous three versions of this insipid franchise. Of course the men, alongside 50 Cent (who is audibly misunderstandable), and both Thailand born Tony Jaa and Indonesian Iko Uwais – who are probably in the film only to bring in the Far East audiences to boost the box office – don’t bring much to the film. Dolph Lundgren is just an embarrassment – given that he has a pissing scene that goes on a bit too long. Do you yourself a favour and wait until Taylor Swifts ‘Eras’ documentary hits the theatres next month, you’ll have a helluva much better time.
