PARIS 24 SEPTEMBER 2024 – at 3:30 PM CEST, GANNI presented their debut Spring/Summer 2025 Show at the Galerie Haute in the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. Entitled ‘The Craft’, the collection takes inspiration from the concept of modern alchemy, utilising material innovations, bio-fabrics and responsible craftsmanship that offer a glimpse of a futuristic world in fashion.
GANNI’s SS25 collection marks the GANNI girl’s confident and elevated coming of age. The collection is true to the brands DNA, revelling in the play of opposites: masculine and feminine; tailored and diaphanous; utilitarian and romantic. Inventive layering is key throughout the collection seeing signature leopard and floral prints mixed with transparent and technical fabrics. The colour palette sees tones of algae green, chocolate brown, and sky blues throughout.
“We wanted to channel the GANNI woman’s intuitive confidence and dynamic energy— someone who is tuned in. This collection is about courage, empowerment, and connection, pushing our boundaries across both design and innovation. My heart beats the most for responsible fabrications, and our Fabrics of the Future program feels like magic.”
– Ditte Reffstrup, Creative Director, GANNI
For SS25, the GANNI girl is all grown up. She’s unafraid, easygoing, and marching to the beat of her own drum. Exuding mystique, optimism, and independence, she thrives within a community of like-minded women—never forgetting her sense of fun. The Craft presents a wardrobe for the future, and the GANNI girl holds the magic formula.
GANNI COLLABORATORS
In keeping with GANNI’s collaborative spirit, Creative Director Ditte Reffstrup invited two emerging designers including Nicklas Skovgaard and New York-based Claire Sullivan to collaborate on the SS25 collection. Together, the designers co-created show looks merging GANNI signatures such as frill details, delicate blooms, and sportswear motifs. The collection includes bold bubble-hem dresses, a floor-sweeping gown patchworked from baseball jerseys, intricately laced boxing boots, pointed mules, and ballet flats. New iterations of the brand’s iconic ‘Bou’ bag feature artisanal braided straps and corseted finishes.
GANNI FABRICS OF THE FUTURE
This season, GANNI was inspired by the potential of both existing and new Fabrics of the Future and the alchemy these innovations present. The SS25 collection features six fabric innovations including Circulose, Celium, Oleatex, Cycora, and Pelinova, which serve as alternatives to polyester, cotton blends, and leather. The collection also features a runway debut of retro trainers crafted from SimplifyberTM, a pioneering bio-fiber that can be molded to form the textured upper of a shoe. As part of GANNI’s goal to achieve a 50% absolute carbon reduction by 2027 (vs. a 2021 baseline), the brand is partnering with next-generation material innovators to further reduce its carbon footprint, aiming for 10% of collections to include Fabrics of the Future by the end of 2025.
