A stunning and cinematic meditation on the human experience set to Debbii’s signature blend of guitar-driven, 70s-laced pop-folk, How To Be Human is a five-track journey through the singer’s psyche, grappling with the familiar comfort of self-isolation versus the unfamiliar mysteries of the outside world. Featuring the previously released singles “Happy World” and “Turn The TV On,” How To Be Human is a sonic navigation through feelings of solitude and yearnings of escapism.

“When writing this EP, I felt inspired by the life and death of Emily Dickinson and my own personal journey,” says Debbii of the release. “My first EP, called ‘Learning,’ dove into the mind of a recovering recluse. This second EP, ‘How To Be Human,’ is a continuation of the first. I wanted to explore and examine the motives of seclusion, the conflict of opposing desires, and the resolve and uncertainty of taking those shaky first steps into the unknown.”

Receiving praise from Rolling Stone, Billboard, Ones To Watch, and more, Debbii released her debut EP, Learning, in 2023 and has been on a continued trajectory since. Signing to RCA Records this past April, she recently joined Orville Peck for the starting leg of his Stampede North American Tour, and will feature on his forthcoming Stampede duets album, out Friday, August 2. Debbii is also set to perform at Hinterland Music Festival in Iowa on August 2 and will join Suki Waterhouse in support of her Denver date at Mission Ballroom on Saturday, September 28.
