Written and directed by Michael Head, Jackie the Stripper brings together an impressive cast of established British stars alongside exciting new talent in a film that blends action, comedy and thriller elements with emotional depth.
Leading the cast is Charlotte Kirk in the demanding title role of Jackie. Michael Head revealed that casting the lead was the most important decision of the entire production, describing Charlotte as the perfect choice after previously working with her on Bermondsey Tales. He praised her ability to balance vulnerability, humour and emotional intensity, calling her “an exceptional talent” and someone he hopes to collaborate with again.
Jamie Lomas stars as Jack the Ripper in what Head described as one of the film’s most challenging roles to cast. He said Jamie’s natural charisma, combined with a quietly intimidating screen presence, creates a believable and compelling interpretation of one of history’s most infamous figures.
James Phelps reunites with Head as Father Lux following their previous collaboration on the stage production The Greater Game. Despite a demanding schedule, Phelps joined the production, bringing warmth, authenticity and professionalism to the role.
Singer, dancer and actress Kimberly Wyatt appears as Daisy, with Head praising her emotional range and natural ability to adapt to every filming environment. Having previously worked together on The Spin, he described Kimberly as not only an exceptional performer but also one of the most grounded people he has worked with.
Television personality Katie Price takes on the role of Lisa, a character Head wrote specifically with her in mind following the tragic passing of their mutual friend Paul Danan, who had originally been due to appear in the film. While acknowledging her casting would attract attention, Head said he believed Katie would bring genuine sincerity to the role and praised her professionalism and kindness throughout production.
The supporting cast includes Patsy Kensit, Gary Webster, Perry Benson, Emily Wyatt and newcomer Chloe Jane Meadows, all of whom received high praise from Head for their commitment and performances. He described Patsy as “class,” praised Gary Webster for portraying a character inspired by his own grandfather, and credited Perry Benson with perfectly balancing comedy and menace. Head also highlighted Emily Wyatt’s emotional authenticity and predicted a bright future for Chloe Jane Meadows after her standout audition and impressive on-screen debut.
Speaking about the production, Michael Head emphasised that assembling the right cast was essential to balancing the film’s darker themes with humour, heart and emotional honesty. His admiration for both experienced performers and emerging talent reflects the collaborative spirit behind the project and the passion invested in bringing the story to life.
The world premiere itself proved to be a memorable celebration of British independent cinema. Fans gathered along Leicester Square to catch a glimpse of the stars as they arrived on the red carpet before the official screening at Cineworld Leicester Square. The atmosphere was electric as cast members, filmmakers, industry professionals and invited guests came together to celebrate the film’s long-awaited debut.
Beyond the glamour of the evening, the premiere highlighted the creativity, resilience and ambition that continue to define Britain’s independent film industry. With its talented ensemble cast and strong creative vision, Jackie the Stripper has already generated considerable excitement following its successful world premiere.
