Braun India Fashion week took place at London’s ExCel centre on the 15-16th of October. The atmosphere at the ExCel centre was electric as crowds gathered to watch the finale show on Sunday evening featuring designer Rocky S. Headlining the show is former Valentino and Calvin Klein model James Lee Taylor. The British hunk that is currently a Hollywood TV star flew in especially to walk in the grand finale. Just before he graced the catwalk modelling for fashion and textile designer Ravita Mayor I managed to grab a few minutes with the show stopper himself…

    What brings you to?

I will be walking the runway this evening, heading the show for designer, Ravita Mayor

How do you feel, are you nervous?

Not quite, I grew up modelling. I have been modelling from the age of 15. One of the first shows I ever did actually was an Indian fashion show.

    What inspires you?

Passionate people, hard working people and people with a vision.

    Tell us about your background…

Modelling is my background; my mum was a model also. I act now but modelling is where I started so I owe a lot to it.  Everything I have done in my life has got me to where I am today.

    What are you passionate about?

Acting.  I model occasional for work but acting is my greatest passion.

    What are you doing currently?

So I’m currently filming a show in Spain called Virgin and Martyr. I’m filming 6 days a week at the moment, I’ve literally flown in for this and I fly back out at half past 3 in the morning, to Spain. I’m filming a horse back and fighting scene this week…

Do you find that modelling helped you with acting at all?

Ha yes.. Modelling taught me a lot; the angles, how the light hits, how the camera moves. I had to do a killing scene last week and the director was like “right can you do this but have your head a little bit higher so the light catches you” ,the modelling helped with that , I could do what I was doing and just angel upwards. I can cheat it a tiny bit.

    Where do you live now?

London and Los Angeles, I go between the two.

    Future plans?

    Acting
