Cannes, April 28, 2025 — The 78th Cannes Film Festival has announced its main jury, with famous French actress Juliette Binoche as the Jury President.

She will be joined by a group of well-known artists from around the world: American actress and filmmaker Halle Berry, Indian director and writer Payal Kapadia, Italian actress Alba Rohrwacher, French-Moroccan writer Leïla Slimani, Congolese director and producer Dieudo Hamadi, South Korean director Hong Sangsoo, Mexican filmmaker Carlos Reygadas, and American actor Jeremy Strong.
This jury will choose the winner of the Palme d’Or — the festival’s top prize — from 21 competing films. Last year, the award went to Anora by Sean Baker, selected by Greta Gerwig’s jury.
The winners will be announced on Saturday, May 24, during the festival’s Closing Ceremony. The event will be shown live in France on France Télévisions and around the world on Brut.
