The Southbank Centre’s new performance series Kunsty launches this week (Wed 5 – Sat 8 Nov) platforming new work from independent British artists working at the boundaries of dance, live art and cabaret.

KUNSTY takes place across four days under one roof with special late night shows in the KUNSTY cabaret lounge (Queen Elizabeth Hall Foyer – QEH). Audiences can expect a jam- packed programme filled with flamenco fiestas, synth heavy DJ sets, late night cabaret, drag and glitter.
A captivating feast of creativity and innovation, KUNSTY reaffirms the Southbank Centre’s ongoing mission to support and spotlight independent artists who are shaping the future of performance, and who are pushing their artistry to the limits in electrifying and visionary new ways.
Major highlights include the award-winning British dance theatre collective Bullyache (Jacob Samuel and Courtney Deyn), who take to the stage with WHO HURT YOU (5 Nov, QEH) a collage of influences ranging from the 1995 film Showgirls to the life of boxing champ Jake LaMotta and his last years as a barely-conscious off-Broadway star. Winners at the Venice Biennale Danza 2025, Bullyache is reaching new heights with their razor sharp commentary on young, queer British culture.
Meanwhile, in the Cabaret Lounge over two nights, cabaret with a flamenco twist, will fill the Queen Elizabeth Hall foyer celebrating queerness, joy and community. CABROLE ( 6-7 Nov) is an extraordinary feat, conceived by Barcelona-born dance artist Patricia Langa with over 40 artists involved, including the award-winning drag artist Carl Harrison, Corali Dance Company, Dairy King and Charlie Wood to name a few. The audience will be swept up in the passion, music and vibrancy.
The award- winning theatre- maker, Harry Clayton-Wright, known for his radical storytelling, brings his bold, extravaganza MR. BLACKPOOL’S SEASIDE SPECTULAR (8 Nov) for a mesmerising evening of cabaret, variety, drag and dance, bringing stories from the life of a Blackpool entertainer to life. The Queen Elizabeth Hall foyer will be transformed into a garish spectacle.
