Liam Gallagher Named Ambassador for Brighter Sound, Launches Exclusive Adidas Trainer Prize Draw to Back Emerging Manchester Talent.
Manchester — Oasis icon Liam Gallagher has been announced as the new ambassador for Brighter Sound, the city’s leading music development charity, in a partnership aimed at supporting the next generation of working-class musicians.
The collaboration kicks off with an unmissable prize draw offering pairs of Gallagher’s highly sought-after Adidas Spezial LG Achille SPZL trainers — a item that sold out instantly during last summer’s record-breaking Oasis Live ‘25 tour and has since become almost impossible to get.
Fans have the chance to win one of 40 pairs of the rare Japanese-exclusive darker brown version or one of 95 pairs of the standard light brown design. The trainers are available in limited quantities across UK sizes 3.5 to 12.
Entries are open now through the fundraising platform Zeffy, with every penny raised going directly to Brighter Sound. Ticket buyers can purchase as many entries as they wish, with the draw closing at 11pm on Monday 13 July.
Supporting the Next Wave
Brighter Sound has spent 25 years helping over 1,000 young people, emerging artists, and future music professionals every year through workshops, mentoring, live events, and creative projects. The charity focuses particularly on those facing barriers due to the cost-of-living crisis, shrinking grassroots venues, and limited access to music education.
Liam Gallagher’s involvement will help establish a new direct-to-artists fund for early-career musicians in Greater Manchester. Proceeds from the prize draw and wider campaign will provide financial support for rising talent to create new work and advance their careers. More details on the fund are expected later in 2026.

The “Manchester Seen and Heard” initiative highlighted the city’s grassroots music scene and created fresh opportunities for emerging artists.
