It’s that time of year again and the countdown is on for the anticipated release of this year’s iconic Christmas adverts – but the wait is over to catch the first part of Liverpool FC’s very own heart-warming video.
Spelling the start of the festive season, this year’s film focuses on the many highs and successes enjoyed over the last year as a club, while also exciting fans for the future ahead and celebrating the spirit of Christmas with plenty of humour throughout.
It features cameos from the first team and women’s team, and fans with a keen-eye will also spot another familiar face underneath Santa’s beard – former player and club ambassador, Ian Rush. Families from the Owen McVeigh Foundation were also welcomed on set, while celebrity chef and LFC Fan, Simon Rimmer makes an appearance in Anfield’s treasured and renowned Homebaked bakery.
The Christmas video will be revealed in three separate parts over the Christmas period, before the full video is officially unveiled, with part one available to view from 7am on 1 November at www.liverpoolfc.com/christmas.
The video comes as part of the club’s Christmas campaign message ‘Tis the season to believe’ – a notion of belief in the magic of Christmas and a nod to manager Jurgen Klopp’s famous words.
LFC has also revealed its official Christmas gifting range with a selection of exclusive presents for every Reds fan.
