Finding inspiration in London, Mark studied at Central Saint Martins and completed his BA there and went on to complete his MA in February 2008. His signature designs push the boundaries of modern knitwear technology. He has devised innovative stitching techniques, blending lycra with the finest luxury textiles. Everything is knitted by hand on domestic knitting machines and his work is formed onto the body as he knits. He sees knitwear as sculpture, where he experiments with different volumes to create a sensual silhouette.

Mark has earned numerous accolades including a four-season sponsorship from NEWGEN and the British Fashion Council. He has collaborated with Pinko, Christian Louboutin, Swarovski, Topshop, Aldo Rise, Mawi, Woolmark and created costumes for the Crazy Horse Paris.

His intricate and handcrafted dresses are worn by celebrity fans such as Beyoncé, Tilda Swinton, Grace Jones, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Jessie J, Rita Ora, Naomi Campbell, Katy Perry, Ciara, Kylie Minogue, Chrysta Bell, Yasmine Petty and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld.

Mark Fast’s global business brand development has been a huge triumph; encompassing the successful opening of his flagship store in Beijing in late 2020 with many more planned to open this year across Asia. Alongside this, Mark has also launched www.markfast.com global ecommerce website.
