MAROC FASHION WEEK 2025 “THE FASHION OF YESTERDAY AND TODAY” AT THE MUSEUM OF MOROCCAN CULINARY ART IN MARRAKECH AN EXPERIENCE OF SARTORIAL ART AND GASTRONOMY
Marrakech, April 2025 – On Saturday, April 26, the Museum of Moroccan Culinary Art hosted “The Fashion of Yesterday and Today,” an event that celebrated the fusion of Moroccan fashion and gastronomy.
The evening began with a visit to an exhibition of vintage caftans, true symbols of Morocco’s rich sartorial heritage. The program continued with four fashion shows:
- First, an exclusive presentation of caftans from private Moroccan collections.
- Then, a showcase of traditional Azerbaijani garments, paying tribute to the intercultural dialogue between Morocco and Azerbaijan.
- The final part of the evening featured the contemporary creations of Wafaa Idrissi, who presented elegant caftans inspired by nature.
- Followed by Mina Binebine’s refined interpretations of feminine elegance, demonstrating how tradition continues to inspire today’s fashion designers.
A cocktail dînatoire, set to the evocative sounds of Andalusian music, created a fully immersive sensory experience. The evening offered a captivating journey through tradition and innovation, blending sartorial elegance with authentic flavors.
Organized by the Association La Route de la Soie et d’Al-Andalus, the event is part of a broader initiative aimed at promoting textile heritage, fostering intercultural dialogue, and supporting contemporary creativity. “The Fashion of Yesterday and Today” served as a meaningful occasion to strengthen cultural ties between Morocco and Azerbaijan, providing a valuable platform for creative talents from both countries.
