World-renowned actress Meryem Uzerli marked a significant achievement this year by becoming the only Turkish actress and speaker invited to the World Governments Summit (WGS), held in Dubai.

Uzerli took part in two separate sessions throughout the summit. She appeared both on the ‘House of Impact’ stage—bringing together thought leaders, content creators, and representatives of the creative industries—and on the Main Stage, where world leaders were hosted. Her contributions to both sessions received strong acclaim from participants.
Organized under the leadership of the United Arab Emirates, the World Governments Summit is regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious global platforms, convening heads of state, global business leaders, policymakers, and opinion leaders. Each year, the summit hosts dozens of heads of state and hundreds of global leaders to discuss future governance models, technology, media, and social transformation.

In her speech, Meryem Uzerli focused on building bridges between cultures, women’s and children’s rights, and the power of impact and authenticity. She emphasized the global influence of culture, art, and authentic individual voices. On the panel, Uzerli was joined by entrepreneur Raj Shamani, social media personality Gstaad Guy, Gallup CEO Jon Clifton, and Hollywood actor Kelsey Grammer.
Uzerli’s presence at the World Governments Summit once again highlighted the strength of Turkish art and culture on the global stage, while further solidifying her position as an international opinion leader beyond her identity as an actress.

A Global Voice for Women’s Empowerment
Beyond her successful acting career, Meryem Uzerli stands out internationally for her advocacy of women’s empowerment, child protection, building a strong future for children, self-worth, and independence. Having spoken at prestigious platforms such as WE Convention and the Forbes Middle East Women’s Summit, Uzerli was honored with the Harper’s Bazaar Women Empowerment Award in 2024.

As the only Turkish actress representing Türkiye at the World Governments Summit, Meryem Uzerli once again delivered an inspiring achievement on the international stage, powerfully underlining the role of art and individual voices in driving global change.
