Molini London’s brand new collection ‘Élégance éternelle’, centered around the timeless elegance of femininity, consisted of sixteen looks all exhibiting Molini’s iconic creamy silky silhouettes.
The ethos behind Molini London, particularly for this new collection, is creating pieces you can wear forever – encapsulated by the collection title (French for ‘eternal elegance’). This idea of the eternal rings true in every sense of the word, operating on a ‘minimum waste policy’, Molini sustainably sources everything from fabric to packaging. Using mostly organic silk, either made from regenerative farming or recycled fabrics from Italy, all garments were made with thicker fabrics reinforcing their longevity.
With each season, the collections become bigger and bolder. Taking the elegance of evening wear and reimagining them in unique shapes -such as silk hoodies. Each garment is meticulously planned “[starting] off as a sketch, followed by hours of meticulous pattern cutting, then thorough toile work, and then we make the final pieces on the main fabric to finish. It’s a mixture of sewing machines plus intricate handiwork” all from Molini’s East London Studio.
