Pete Tong and the Heritage Orchestra, conducted by Jules Buckley, will be headlining Day Two of MTV Presents: Ocean City Sounds on Friday 27 July, in their only South West performance of the year.
Their critically acclaimed ‘Ibiza Classics’ show will see tracks performed in an entirely new way during a full two-hour set, appealing to lovers of dance and orchestral music alike. The show is an audio and visual spectacle that has sold out venues across the UK including the O2 Arena in London, as well as being a centrepiece of the BBC Proms.
The combination of Plymouth’s Hoe’s stunning location overlooking the sea, classic dance tracks and a full festival light show is sure to transport concert-goers back to sunny holidays of the 90s in a nostalgia-filled night.
The show will also feature guest vocalists, who are yet to be revealed.
Amanda Lee, marketing manager at Plymouth City Council, said: “This show is going to be truly spectacular and we’re thrilled to be able to give music fans in the South West the opportunity to see such a unique, world-class act. There’s nowhere else in the world quite like Plymouth Hoe, so the views combined with the music mean this is going to be an unmissable event!”
