“ALL SORTS,” A QUIRKY COMEDY ABOUT A LONELY DATA ENTRY CLERK WHO FINDS LOVE IN THE SURREAL WORLD OF CHAMPIONSHIP FOLDER FILING, ARRIVES ON VIDEO ON DEMAND ON OCTOBER 5, 2022

LOS ANGELES, CA (SEPT. 27, 2022) – Vibrant Penguin, an entertainment production company based in Los Angeles, announced its film “All Sorts“, the critically-acclaimed second feature film from writer-director J. Rick Castañeda, will be available to buy and rent on Amazon, GooglePlay, Vimeo, and AppleTV starting Wednesday, October 5, 2022. Meet the team behind “All Sorts.”

“All Sorts” premiered internationally at the 2021 Raindance Film Festival in London, where the film earned acclaim from critics and audiences alike. In his festival review, Steve Harcourt of NerdSpan said, “What ‘All Sorts’ has in abundance is an off-beat wit and remarkable charm.” The film made its US premiere at the Seattle International Film Festival before making its Hollywood debut at the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival in the summer of 2022. Following its festival run, “All Sorts” embarked on a six month theatrical tour of the US, screening in over 20 cities across the country, but this marks the first time the film will be available to view for UK audiences since Raindance.

“We had such a great time screening at Raindance,” Castañeda said. “It was our first time showing the film outside the US and we are so excited to be available again in the UK.” Castañeda believes All Sorts’ inclusion in Raindance was an important milestone for the film. “Raindance is an incredibly selective festival, so being invited to screen at such a big festival in London meant a lot,” said Castañeda.

“All Sorts” tells the story of Diego, played by Eli Vargas (“Chavez,” “You, Me and Dupree.” “Arrested Development,” and “Burning Bodhi”), a lonely data entry clerk desperate for a job, excitement, and even love. New on the job at a strange company, where paperclips come to life, employees literally get lost inside filing cabinets, and the boss accidentally fires himself, he meets an incredibly fast folder filer named June, played by Korean actress Greena Park (“The Comedown,” “Family from Tang”). Together, the two embark on a wildly unexpected office adventure that takes them deep into the underground world of championship folder filing.

“This isn’t just a movie for lovers of off-beat office comedies,” said Producer Laura Reich. “From the reviews and comments we’ve received so far, the film is really connecting with larger audiences seeking a feel-good indie movie.”

Castañeda elaborated saying, “The film is a very positive story about love, friendship, and finding magic in a dim, drab place. The aim is to get people to look at their world in a different way.”
