London, UK – March 2026 – Saatchi Gallery is set to return to the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show with a striking new garden designed in collaboration with kinetic artist Lucy Gregory, garden designer Naomi Ferrett-Cohen, and supported by ING.

The 2026 garden marks Saatchi Gallery’s sixth participation in the internationally acclaimed flower show, blending contemporary art, innovative planting, and public engagement. Visitors will experience a playful, immersive environment where interactive, anthropomorphic tree-like sculptures respond to touch, spinning and wobbling to create a joyful kinetic display.
Gregory, inspired by Matisse’s The Dance, has transformed the painting’s iconic movement into a dynamic, steel choreography. Visitors are invited to “close the circle” that Matisse left open by physically engaging with the sculptures, turning observers into active participants in the artwork. “Roundness operates conceptually as well as physically, interweaving themes of community, interconnection with nature and the body in the landscape,” Gregory explains.
The garden’s plantings, curated by Ferrett-Cohen, introduce warmth and vibrancy, complementing the sculptural elements while maintaining a naturalistic flow. Her design ensures a harmonious balance between art and nature, enhancing the visitor experience.

Alexandra Macmahon, Country Manager at ING, emphasized the partnership’s shared vision: “With sustainability at the heart of what we do at ING, this collaboration powerfully brings creativity, nature and people together.”
Presented from 19 – 23 May 2026, the Saatchi Garden promises an invitation to reconnect with nature, engage in movement, and celebrate the simple joy of gathering outdoors.
