LONDON, England – 18th September 2020 – Following news earlier this year that the world’s largest display of BA Fashion Talent would have to be cancelled, Samsung KX intervened by offering an online platform for the Foundation to showcase the inspiring work of the Graduate Fashion Innovation Award 2020. Months on, it’s excited to finally bring the series to life at its hub of innovation.
An exhibition at the heart
Central to the activity, Samsung KX will be hosting a four-day public exhibition of inspiring student designs throughout London Fashion Week (17th –20th September), showcased by a mix of stylishly dressed mannequins and virtual displays via the latest Galaxy Tab S7 tablet. This will be amplified with an exclusive range of university content projected across Samsung’s latest innovations, including the ground-breaking Sero QLED 4K TV which stylishly rotates between landscape and portrait to maximise the viewing experience. Guests are invited to visit the exhibition within the opening hours of 11am – 7pm.
Amplifying with creative workshops
Alongside this, the exhibition will be accompanied by a series of exciting, trend-led workshops that celebrate creativity and the impact of technology within the industry. From uncovering the stories behind celebrity outfits to learning how to market businesses in style, the sessions will be hosted by leading fashion thought leaders and open for local communities to enjoy. The Class of 2020 Digital film with Duck productions and Graduate Fashion Foundation
- Thursday 17thSeptember (7-8pm) – Founder of Duck Productions Lindsay Lowe shares her expertise on the importance of moving image within the fashion industry, immersing guests in an array of award-winning content displayed on The Sero QLED 4K TV
Fashion illustration 101 with Elyse Blackshaw
- Friday 18thSeptember (7-8pm) – Graduate Fashion Foundation and Elyse Blackshaw will host an interactive Fashion Illustration Workshop, inviting guests to put their own skills into practice with the Samsung Galaxy S7+ tablet
A look inside the ‘Life of A Marketing Girl’ with X and GFF
- Saturday 19thSeptember (7-8pm) – Graduate Fashion Foundation and special guests from the LOAMG network will host an innovative Fashion Marketing talk which will cover their careers, why they joined LOAMG and valuable advice on joining the marketing world, packed with insightful tools and information
Exploring stories behind style with Henry Holland
- Sunday 20thSeptember (7-8pm) – Join Henry Holland on a sartorial journey like no other where he speaks to iconic guests about the looks that changed their lives and the stories behind them. Henry will be inviting a special guest to join him for his first live recording at Samsung KX
Culminating with a virtual catwalk @ Samsung KX
On Tuesday 22nd September, the final stage of this exciting fashion series boasts a private catwalk curated specially for the winning garments, expertly captured within the Samsung KX space for students and fashionistas to view online.
