The Autumn/Winter 23 edition of contemporary and premium fashion show Scoop, which opened at the Saatchi Gallery today, had a stellar first day with buyers from leading luxury retailers including Harrods, Aria, John Lewis, Square, Hêtre, Sass & Edge, Courtyard, Bod & Ted, Amelie, Agatha Boutique, Pampas Glasgow, Ottiva Boutique, Stanwells, Sue Parkinson, The Block, Domino Style, and many more flocking to the show to discover the latest designers from an exclusively curated edit of over 250 contemporary collections.

Uniting design, fashion, and art within immersive galleries, visitors were greeted by magnificent floral displays and welcome staff dressed in vibrant floral printed pyjama sets designed by newly launched fashion business Endless Love Affair and cashmere jumpers by Absolut Cashmere. With the season’s theme centred around the world of tarot and the exploration of fantasy and symbolism evoked by beautiful fashion, buyers were inspired by Scoop’s exclusive artwork displayed throughout the gallery and many enjoyed having their tarot cards read.

Commenting on the first day’s success, Scoop founder Karen Radley said, “The galleries were bustling with buyers as soon as we opened, it has been an astronomical first day. The edit of designers has been very well-received and, as always, it has been wonderful to see so many familiar faces from leading retailers and luxury independent boutiques across the UK and Europe.”

Julia Aitken from Stanwells Lymington commented; “It’s great being back at Scoop, I have bought some new designers and very excited to have found a new ethical brand. The whole vibe at Scoop is completely different this season in a brilliant way. It’s been great to meet our suppliers and also see other retailers.

Michelle Quinn from Abiti Womenswear, Leicester said; “I loved the walk up to Scoop, loved the flowers and the red carpet. So happy to be back, such a pleasurable surround and vibe. I found some new brands including D.A.T.E, Brodie Cashmere, Rino & Pelle, HIGH, and many more. I am excited to revisit next season.”

Roberta and Carl Jacklin from Agatha Boutique, Lincoln added, “So nice to be back at the Saatchi Gallery, have found some newness and fresh brands. The quality and level of designers is really high. We found Mos Mosh Womenswear, Noella, WuShu and MolliOlli.  It was nice to catch up and see Inwear and Toolally. The tarot reading was a lovely touch.”

Commenting on a great show, Nicky Medoza from Rose & Lyons in Somerset said, “I ordered from my existing brands but also discovered some great new ones for my store. Totally fell in love with Eribe and found some great news shoes and slippers. It’s an inspiring show.”

Premium couture designers debuting at Scoop included a new ready to wear collection by Italian designer Diego Lazzaroni, and French haute couture by Launart introducing a modern line blurring the boundaries between vintage and modernity and exclusively made in its own Parisian Haute Couture Atelier. Another popular highlight was the collaboration between Italian womenswear designer HIGH and the Royal College of Art.

Nicola Jones and Ruth Taylor from Endless Love Affair said; “We are launching our new brand Endless Love Affair at Scoop and have had an amazing response, opened our first few accounts on the first morning. Buyers have loved the colour and prints.”

Kristan Burti from Lisa Todd said; “We are energised, optimistic and incredibly excited. We’ve met several stores and buyers. The show is bright and beautiful, the energy is really strong.”

Bernadet Christelle from Khaiden Bijoux added; “It’s been a really good day for me. I’ve taken two large orders from high end retailers and there has been a lot of interest from others.”
