African Piano Queen Sha Sha continues to keep the anticipation high ahead of the release of her album ‘I’M Alive’ as she drops the music video for ‘Themba Lami’ ft Ami Faku today.

The music video follows closely after Sha Sha teamed up with modern Afro soul songstress Ami Faku to deliver the single ‘Themba Lami’  at the end of last month.

The video for ‘Themba Lami’ was shot on in the leafy suburbs of  Houghton, Johannesburg in the grandest Victorian styled house. The creative around the video was centred around a more authentic and rather honest approach to allow audiences to see and understand ‘trust’ from a loving woman’s point of view.

The music video is made up of 3 main scenes, with love being the overarching theme and connection to the track title ‘Themba Lami’, with moments that capture the true essence of sisterhood, which is what we experience in this collaboration between Sha Sha and Ami.

Music Video director Lenzo Dlamini explained the inspiration behind the track; “When you listen to the song you get a sense of how intimate  the song is, I went with a feel  and concept that is more inviting into their personal space matching the message of the song. We created spaces and setting that feels like it’s like their own rooms where they can confide in one another.”

Sha Sha in the spirit of keeping her fans and audiences entertained teased the video when she posted the trailer of the music video on her Instagram.  The video was exclusively premiered on MTVBASE before the official release here.
