London, 25 May 2025 — Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre will burst into poetic life this May Bank Holiday with a dazzling celebration of Shakespeare and spoken word, brought to the stage by a host of major stars from British film and television.
“Shakespeare for Every Day of the Year – Live!” will feature a glittering cast including Damian Lewis (Homeland), Tony Robinson (Blackadder), Olivia Williams (Dune, The Crown), James Phoon (Bridgerton), Indira Varma (Game of Thrones), Danny Sapani (Black Panther), and more, all performing iconic scenes, speeches, and poems in a joyful journey through the Bard’s most beloved—and lesser-known—works.
Also joining the lineup are Hugh Ross (Outlander), Kate Fleetwood (Harry Potter), Samantha Spiro (Sex Education), and Tracy-Ann Oberman, promising an evening of drama, comedy, and moving performances under the stars.
The event is curated by Allie Esiri, a leading voice in modern poetry, acclaimed author of 10 bestselling anthologies, and former actress known for roles in Sharpe, Touch of Frost, and Howards End. Her mission: to make poetry accessible, entertaining, and alive for everyone.
Tickets are priced at £25 and are still available. The event takes place on Sunday, 25th May, making it a perfect cultural pick for Bank Holiday weekend listings and “What’s On in May” roundups.
