The Hippodrome is launching a new series of free to stream, virtual al fresco concerts broadcast live from Saturday, 13 March until 17th May from its new open-air terrace bar, The Rooftop, while the building must remain closed to the public under current government restrictions.

Sing it from the rooftop! the hippodrome sees out lockdown with al fresco live concerts

Designed to help us all through these last few months of lockdown, soulful solos and tantalising tunes will be broadcast straight to your sofa via Facebook, so pour yourself a quarantini and get ready to enjoy live music with a side of home comforts this spring.

Showcasing the biggest and the best of The Hippodrome’s roster of talented performers, the series kicks off in style this Saturday, 13th March at 7pm with singing sensation, Shane Hampsheir, (@shane_hampsheir_singer) bringing you a show packed full of swing and pop classics. Join him virtually on The Rooftop for an evening of smooth crooner vocals and exciting big band classics such as ‘Fly me to the Moon’, while singing your heart out – because when else is nobody watching?!

Viewers can also look forward to…

    • Saturday 20th March, 7pm – join international powerhouse, Crystal Cimaglia, (@crystalcimaglia)  for an evening of pop favourites, vintage classics and more!
