Tali Pelman (Group Creative Director of Stage Entertainment) said “We have been searching for some time for that special opportunity to develop an original new musical in Spain. We wanted to find an idea that came from Spain and would feel both personal and exceptional for our Spanish audiences. Alejandro Sanz’s music is the soundtrack of several generations. To tell a quintessentially Spanish story and connect directly with all those generations through his evocative music is that one in a million we are searching for.”
Yolanda Pérez Abejón (General Director of Stage Entertainment Spain) said “Stage Entertainment has led the musical market in Spain for over 25 years. We are thrilled that in the next two years we will open our third theatre: the Stage Gran Teatro Musical and open our first originally produced musical, something that we have never done before. And that’s when you think big. Who is the best composer, the Spanish artist who has been successful for decades? We aimed for the top and we were very lucky because Alejandro was interested and involved from the beginning of the project.”
