Revved up for MIPIM?

A convoy of petrol heads from the property industry, led by Inspired Homes’ and Inspired Asset Management’s CEO Martin Skinner, left Greenwich, London, on Saturday and is heading to Cannes to raise money for BuildAid in what is the second annual Inspired MIPIM Charity Rally.

Martin is driving his McLaren 675 LT Spider and 10 other cars including a BMW i8, Porsche 911, Bentley Mulsanne Speed, Aston Martin and Mercedes SL have joined the rally.

The rally includes a number of notable checkpoints including a stop-off at the Geneva Motor Show and photo stops throughout the Alps before arriving in Monaco on Monday the 11th. The convoy reaches Cannes on Tuesday the 12th in time for MIPIM, the world’s leading property exhibition that brings together the most influential players from all international property sectors.

The rally aims to raise funds for BuildAid, a charity that runs community projects for those living in post-disaster areas across the developing world. The money raised will specifically be spent constructing classrooms and shelters in Kenya.

Martin Skinner, founder of the Inspired MIPIM Charity Rally, comments: “The Inspired MIPIM Rally raised £13,000 for BuildAid in 2018 – an outstanding result for the event’s first ever year. These funds were spent constructing shelter homes for young girls in the Philippines rescued from child sexual exploitation where they are protected and offered psychological, emotional and educational support. This year we intend to go much further and have set a target of £30,000. Everyone knows how passionate I am about cars; what better way to get to MIPIM than driving – and it’s all for a great cause.”
