Robert Eggers Screen Talk
Sunday 11 October at 17:30 — Vue West End
Ahead of the New Year’s Day 2027 opening of Werwulf, writer-director-producer Robert Eggers will take part in an LFF Screen Talk exploring his career and filmmaking approach.
Eggers is known for films including The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Northman and Nosferatu. His work is distinguished by its historical settings, mythology, folklore and gothic atmosphere.
His feature debut, The Witch, established his distinctive approach to period filmmaking, while The Lighthouse brought together Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson as two lighthouse keepers whose isolation gradually drives them toward madness.
Eggers later expanded his filmmaking scale with The Northman, his first collaboration with Icelandic novelist Sjón, before turning to F.W. Murnau’s Nosferatu. His upcoming film Werwulf, again co-written with Sjón, continues his exploration of historical worlds, devotion, damnation and the supernatural.
The Screen Talk will offer audiences an opportunity to hear Eggers discuss his films, creative process and distinctive cinematic vision.
