DESIGNERS
LALI FASHION
The Uzbek fashion house LALI will unveil its Fall–Winter 2025/26 collection at the Oriental Fashion Show in Paris, held in conjunction with Haute Couture Week. For this edition, designer Lali Fazilova pays tribute to the golden embroidery legacy of Bukhara, presenting a series of sophisticated pieces that merge ancestral craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics. Entitled Legacy in Bloom: Echoes from Bukharian Walls, the collection draws inspiration from the floral murals of the Sitorai Mokhi Khosa summer palace and traditional symbols like the peshkurta and the Lali, reinterpreted into modern silhouettes.
The collection is the result of extensive research carried out in close collaboration with renowned artisans from Bukhara, Samarkand, and Tashkent, including masters like Mahfuza Salimova and Nargiz Muradova. Through luminous and narrative embroidery, LALI explores a refined, poetic, and timeless vision of the East, contributing to a wider cultural dialogue highlighted by the launch of the first Bukhara Biennale. This initiative reflects the brand’s desire to reposition Central Asian textile arts at the forefront of contemporary fashion and cultural discourse.
To enhance the silhouettes, the brand collaborates for the first time with SALTANAT Diamonds Gallery, a prestigious Kazakh jewelry house known for its nature-inspired creations made with precious stones. A capsule collection was designed exclusively for the show, featuring motifs drawn from the landscapes of Kazakhstan — tulips, butterflies, rivers, and mountains — offering a fresh interpretation of Eastern elegance. This unprecedented collaboration between fashion and fine jewelry marks a significant moment for Central Asia’s creative scene, affirming a luxury aesthetic rooted in authenticity and heritage.
Supported by the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan and presented under the patronage of OFS Officiel, the show highlights a new generation of designers committed to celebrating and elevating the cultural richness of the East. In Paris, LALI is not merely presenting a fashion collection — she is weaving a story, one that bridges memory and modernity, and asserts a bold and renewed expression of heritage.

This highly talented Kuwaiti national is a mother to two young children, a wife and a full time employee of the Government of Kuwait as well as being the force behind one of the regions most successful Fashion Brands.
Mashael’s love for textiles and colours is what inspired this success story almost ten years ago. She takes her role as a fashion designer very seriously and is continuously onsite in her Atelier to meet and advise clients as well as allowing them to add their own personal touch if desired. She personally sources her materials from local markets as well as international sources in Japan and Italy all depending on the season and the collection in which her inspiration is derived from. Having a very intimate involvement in the whole design process from sketching to execution and final delivery ensures Mashael is highly knowledgeable on body shapes and what exactly the women of the GCC and beyond want.
DesignME has grown into a highly successful Brand in Kuwait with many people recognizing the gowns and pieces when worn in the local community which is itself is a huge sign of “breaking the market”. The key to this success is being consistent with ensuring only the highest quality of finishings are delivered and using materials which are durable and long lasting. In addition to this, DesignME is a colourful and vibrant brand! Bright colours and structured cuts are key in each collection along with incorporating stones and sliver metallic pieces.
In addition to the above, Mashael is one of the “go to” designers in Kuwait for local bridal consultations. Being a Kuwaiti is paramount in ensuring she has a magical touch when designing a bridal dress for the most important day in a lady’s life.
In 2015 DesignME participated in Phoenix Fashion Week and Mashael was the first Kuwaiti female fashion designer to have participated, which in itself is a huge achievement. This was just the beginning for DesignME as in September 2017, Mashael was the opening designer for NYFW in Association with Art Hearts Fashion. This was a huge milestone for the Brand and to end the year off on an exceedingly high note DesignMe had a full house at the opening of her new boutique in 89 Mall in December. In addition to dressing Bollywood and international celebrities 2017 was a highly successful year for this local grown label.
With the world as her Oyster and her desire to grow her brand and knowledge, DesignME is a name which will be synonymous with Kuwait and leading fashion designers in the near future
