Born in Paris in 1961 Jordi Casals was born from a family of Spanish refuges that started a revolution against General Franco in Spain.
When Jordi Casals was 5 years old his parents divorced in France and he went back to live with his father in Spain but his father he was imprisoned due to his revolutionaries activities against GeneralFranco. Jordi ended up living in the street, collected and living with gipsies until his mother came to rescue him. That’s why Jordi’s ideas, arts and life views have anarchistic inclinations.
After he completed his studies in architecture he travelled to visit his father in Barcelona and found out a wonderful revelation – his father has become a great collector of art and now works as an art editor for museums having a great circle of artists friends in the house all the time. Jordi was mesmerized by it and started to follow the footsteps of his father.
A family friend Boris Vian was a great influence to Jordi in literature, arts and paintings- embedding him with a rich cultural heritage.
At 23 Jordi comebacks to Paris and started to work deeply in the art business and after 4 years he opens his own gallery ‘ Galeria de Arte “Pictural” that operated for over 25 years.
Soon after Jordi become a writer, artists and a philosopher, during this time he becomes close to artists that shared the same political fate of his family, artists like Pablo Picasso that becomes a close friend of Jordi Casals.
Jordi is a solid artist in his heart and has a vast experience in the Art business and community – he also acts as an artistic agent to many new/old artists.
His gallery in Monte Carlo has been recognised worldwide.
At the age of 50 Jordi decided to sale his gallery and dedicate his time to his own creations – his creations are based on colours – dimensions with spiritual connotations. His new creations are called ‘La Magia de la Vida”.– ‘The Magic of Life’.
We can also add that Jordi during the 80s worked for Salvador Dali’s Editors and Publishers and since then he started a one of the kind collection of unpublished documents, photos and work of Salvador Dali.
Jordi have done hundreds of exhibitions around the world and even had exhibited at the famous“Centre Georges Pompidou “.
During over 30 years Jordi has become one of the most influential personalities in the world of arts and he has sold art around the world and socialised with presidents – celebrities and artists.
Nowadays he is exhibiting in France and is also planning soon his exhibition in Great Britain.
