TARANTO, ITALY – The cultural association In Progress announces that the eighth edition of Miss Progress International-Women supporting the World will take place in Salento from 9 to 18 September.

“Three years of waiting are really a long time – says Giusy Nobile, president of In Progress – and we can’t wait to introduce our territory to the new contestants who, we are sure, will bring us once again projects worthy of everyone’s attention and will spread the beauties of Puglia through their followers. We are proud to have received the moral patronage of the Ministry of Culture that appreciated the content and purpose of the event.”.

Meanwhile, the Colombian Vanesa Giraldo Lopez, winner of the 2019 edition, continued her working for Almagua, the sustainable project in support of the Yagua tribe living in the Colombian Amazon, that allowed her to win the title.

The delegations from the five continents will land at Brindisi airport and will have as logistical base the magnificent Messapia Hotel & Resort in Santa Maria di Leuca. During their stay they will be involved in many activities that will allow them to get to know Apulia, repeatedly mentioned by National Geographic as the most beautiful region in the world.

The list of locations that will be included in the guided tours will be announced before the summer.
