Treat the most important woman in your life to an unforgettable Mother’s Day at the five-star boutique hotel The . This year, the day of appreciation falls on Sunday 11 March 2018, and The Arch London has got you covered with the perfect treat for a deserving mum. Instead of buying a bunch of flowers and a box of chocolates, take your lovely mum for a long luxurious lunch or an indulgent Champagne Afternoon Tea, each served with a complimentary gift for mum.
Mother’s Day Champagne Afternoon Tea
Sipping on a glass of bubbly is the perfect accompaniment to enjoying sandwich classics and quintessentially British desserts. The Arch London’s Royal Afternoon Tea will feature savouries such as Coronation chicken on toasted sourdough, and English Cheddar with apple and raisin chutney on sun blushed tomato bread, as well as plain and fruit scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream. Scrumptious sweet treats will include rose and lavender macaroons, white chocolate and passionfruit brûlée, and lemon curd, strawberry and pistachio tartelette.
Your mum will feel truly spoilt as she gets treated like Royalty whilst enjoying a British favourite pastime served with a luxury gift. Mother’s Day Champagne Afternoon Tea is priced at £45 including a glass of Taittinger Brut Reserve, and can be taken in the Salon de Champagne, the beautiful Martini Library, or Hunter 486 from Noon until 7pm.
Mother’s Day Lunch
For the ultimate indulgence, treat mum to a three-course Mother’s Day menu featuring delicious starters such as a seafood cocktail of tiger prawns and Dorset crab with cucumber and avocado and pressed ham hock terrine and sticky apple compote. Main course choices include Norfolk roast black chicken with crushed Jersey Royals and poached salmon with asparagus, Burford brown egg and blood orange hollandaise; with Yorkshire rhubarb jelly; white chocolate and passionfruit crème brûlée; and bread and butter pudding with marmalade ice cream for dessert.
Priced at £35 per person, the three-course Sunday lunch is served in The Arch London’s stylish restaurant Hunter 486 from Noon until 10 pm. A children’s menu is also available for little ones during their visit.
Named after the 1950s dialling code for Marylebone, Hunter 486 has been designed with an air of nostalgic London glamour fused with contemporary touches. The restaurant features gleaming leather booths, blown glass chandeliers and statement artwork, plus an adjoining chic Salon de Champagne bar. The kitchen is delightfully open plan and airy, allowing guests to watch the skilled chefs at work amongst the gleaming selection of copper pots and pans suspended from the ceiling. Light streams through the large windows, treating guests to a charming view of the neighbourhood mews, and come the evening, the softly lit restaurant is an intimate setting for dinner and drinks.
