Of the new single, Graye says, “Green Light” captures the aftermath of a breakup, presented as a conversation. There’s a longing to reconcile, with both parties assuming the other doesn’t reciprocate. The hook pleads for a “green light,” symbolising permission to return and revealing mutual longing.”
