Fashion students from the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) Epsom celebrated major achievements at Graduate Fashion Week 2025 (GFW25), held at the Truman Brewery in London.
Fashion Design graduate Le Wan Tan won the UCA Epsom Solo Catwalk Show at GFW25 on Friday 13 June. Fellow student Eli Ng received the Highly Commended Award.
Le Wan Tan also had their collection selected for the Best of GFW25 Catwalk, where they went on to win the Best of GFW25 Silver Award, chosen by fashion industry experts.
Their graduate collection was inspired by clowns and circus themes. Highlights included a playful polka dot mini dress with a giant flower pin, and a puffy, gathered shirt. Judges described the work as fun, personal, and refreshingly original. GFW commented:
“With a confident mix of texture, pattern and character, Le Wan Tan’s work stood out as a joyful expression of style – refreshingly individual.”
Another big winner was Célian Dewasmes, who received the prestigious Zandra Rhodes Fashion Award. His designs are known for being emotional and experimental, inspired by his childhood love of paper crafts and pop-up books. This award is named after the famous fashion designer and UCA’s Chancellor Emerita, Dame Zandra Rhodes.
William George, a Fashion Atelier & Tailoring graduate, also impressed judges and was selected to show his work at two more GFW25 shows: the Debenhams.com Catwalk to Commercial and the Mens Collective Catwalk. Earlier this year, he was a finalist at the Golden Shears Awards.
Joining William in the Mens Collective Show were classmates Patryk Lotocki and Tyler Stuart-Raddon. Meanwhile, Ellen Stockdale had part of her final collection displayed in the entrance hall of the GFW25 exhibition.
Several other UCA Epsom students were shortlisted for individual awards and interviewed by judges at the event:

- Chengxuan Ni – Considered Fashion Award
- Schenric Toh – Sportswear & Leisurewear Award
The event gave UCA’s graduates a chance to shine, connect with industry professionals, and take big steps toward careers in fashion. GFW25 was a celebration of new talent, fresh ideas, and the exciting future of the fashion world.
