Party with pirates, tuck into Thairitos and yell “I Love EU” at a silent disco as London’s biggest arts festival announces brand new street food menu and eight weekends of glittering late night immersive parties from 24th Jan

    24th Jan – 18th March

    Shotgun Carousel & Gypsy Disco
    Shotgun Carousel & Gypsy Disco

VAULT Festival announces a series of LATES promising to lure festival-goers seeking a further theatrical fix into the small hours, as they let loose with eight weekends of specially curated, immersive parties every Friday and Saturday night from 24th January to 18th March. With an anti-Valentine’s ball, Mardi Gras spectacular, Burlesque lock in and I ♥ EU Silent Disco on the bill, there’s a LATE for every species of party animal. Punters can also tuck into fiery fusion Thairitos and indulgent Mac ‘n’ Cheese with a specially curated menu of hearty street food from PopCo while they unwind in one of the six bars open every day of the festival. Tickets for parties and performances are available now from VAULTFestival.com. VAULT Festival opens to the public for eight weeks from 24th January.

    Lates

Following the annual raucous of VAULT Festival’s opening party, the nocturnal knees-ups will continue with Trough London (27th Jan) turning up the heat with their leather clad instalment. Expect jocks, bears, hunks and all manner of identities from the ‘homosocial’ community coming together for a hedonistic night to remember.

NeverLand Lates (2nd and 3rd Feb) promises an exhilarating late night journey of discovery into the mystical world of Peter Pan, inviting party-goers to don their best pirate hat or fairy wings as they navigate banquets, food fights, sword fights and lagoons to a soundtrack of live music and circus acts.

The House of Burlesque: Lock In (9th and 10th Feb) welcomes the return of international showgirl Tempest Rose promising “Showgirl Explosions”, mini-burlesque tutorials, bespoke cocktails and a secret speakeasy for the night Time Out dubbed the “Moulin Rouge on Acid”.

The Bleeding Heart Ball (17th Feb) from Shotgun Carousel and Gypsy Disco will be a wild and debaucherous anti-Valentine’s party complete with jaw-dropping circus acts, roaming illusionists, face and body painting and a life drawing salon. A refuge for unrequited lovers, this LATE promises to be an audiovisual feast of gender-bending cabaret and awe-inspiring interactive theatre coupled with the wildest gypsy folk and brass heavy bands blasting out heart wrenching blues and blood-curdling ballads.

FAT TUESDAY (23rd and 24th Feb) sees Shotgun Carousel return to the festival for the fourth year with London’s most gratuitous answer to global Mardi Gras. Revellers will get wild with giant brass sections, circus acts and impromptu parades in this annual celebration of excess. Anything goes costumes and dancing on tables encouraged.

LABYRINTH (2nd and 3rd March) an immersive theatrical circus party from Chivaree Circus, brings to life the Goblin Realm. Adventurers will delve into a world full of mind-boggling aerial performances, stupendous circus feats and intimate encounters as they fight their way to the castle beyond the Goblin City to help #SaveSarah from losing herself in this topsy-turvy domain where nothing is what it seems.

The Final Countdown: I ♥ EU Silent Disco (10th March) will be a white-hot celebration of all things EuroPop as we inch towards the ominous one-year-to-go date for Britain’s departure from the EU. Three channels of continental club bangers including Eurovision hits, indie classics, ABBA favourites and plenty more variety, will add up to a crowd cutting some of the wildest moves around on a dancefloor full of open hearted revellers.

RUCKUS | Underground St Patrick’s Day (17th March) Think Peaky Blinders with twice the craic – travel back to 1919 London to celebrate St Patrick’s Day at RUCKUS. Expect live bands, DJs, game tables and a secret immersive quest for any that want to play. Part underground gangster party, part immersive piss-up, all trouble.

    VAULT Festival

    Food

Food at VAULT Festival 2018 is curated by top chef duo PopCo, who will serve a selection of easy going and delicious dishes. Boasting years of experience working in top London restaurants, hosting supper clubs and running a street food stall on Lower Marsh, chefs Chavdar Todorov and Steven Estevez, invite festival goers  to tuck into fiery thai burritos, dubbed Thairitos, with filling choices of peanut chicken curry, sweet chilli prawn or veggie thai bean curry. The menu also sports a hearty 5 Bean Stew, the best Mac ‘n’ Cheese in town, and some good old Home-Made Nachos.

Smaller size portions will be priced at £4 each with bigger plates from £7.50.

Food served Wed – Fri: 17:30-22:30 and Sat – Sun: 13:30-22:30.

With six intimate bars serving an impressive selection of draught beers, wine and cocktails, festival goers are invited to soak up the ambience between shows as they make the most of a programme packed with more acts and performances than ever before. A specially designed cocktail list includes a G&T made with VAULT’s very own gin distilled in partnership with Tarquin’s and mixed with Fentimans’ world famous natural botanicals. There will also be an impressive array of beers and ales on tap provided by Meantime, as well as VAULT’s own roast from Fire Station Coffee in Suffolk.

VAULT Members get 10% off selected food & drink as well as access with a guest to the VAULT 2018 opening party (26th January).

With over 300 shows spanning new writing, immersive theatre, cabaret, musical and a 125 act strong dedicated comedy festival, VAULT Festival is the go-to 2018 destination for food, drink, culture, and immersive entertainment late into the night.
