Successful fashion show in honour of the great idol “ Gianni Versace”
An unforgettable triumph for Versace’s catwalk, which has left everybody enchanted and deeply moved in commemorating the memory of the idol dead 20 years ago, who continues to live in every season thanks to Donatella, as if he was an immortal being floating freely in his own world.
A magical opening for the runway show collection s/s 2018 that blends with notes of colours and profound love, rediscovering in the archive famous prints, such as the ones of ’90 with black and gold baroque motifs, butterflies, the images of Warhol, the Indians and maritime motifs.
Donatella wishes to underline that it is a tribute which doesn’t want to be a nostalgic restoration of the archives, but a new way to interpret the brand, its codes, in order to show the talent of Gianni to new generations.
Indeed, iconic themes such as the amelier, the style of Medusa, the floral print, the metallic medusa sweater have walked the catwalk as a symbol of a timeless Maison and era.
An exciting atmosphere that hosts on the catwalk the most influential models of the moment (Kenadall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Kaia Gerber) at the beginning, to let space for a magic moment at the end with lights off that turn on again to light up a tableau on the background where Versace’s inspiring muses are located: Claudia, Cindy, Naomi, Carla, Helena.
It is like a shot able to capture the moment that makes the audience dream, where the Top are the absolute protagonists wearing wonderful dresses in gold metal mesh. Everything took place under the notes of Freedom of George Michael that has ended a show that will go down the history and made this fashion week unique and unforgettable.
