The impressive building has stood in the grounds for nearly 500 years and has retained many of its spectacular Elizabethan features. Following an extensive renovation in 2012, the country house hotel was lovingly restored and is now a luxurious destination in the heart of the rural British countryside.

‘The Cellar’ is a relaxed dining restaurant open 7 days a week. The restaurant is the perfect place to dine in Staffordshire, serving classic English dishes, all made from locally sourced produce. The venue also encompasses ‘The Cellar Bar & Lounge’ which serves afternoon tea, cocktails and pre-dinner drinks.
Guests can enjoy a range of classic dishes such as Homemade Pies, Beer Battered Haddock Fillet & Chips, and a range of sumptuous steaks.
Executive Head Chef Andrew Watts has created a variety of unique Afternoon Tea’s to cater to all tastes. The Traditional Afternoon Tea serves classic sandwiches with a glass of House Champagne, or prosecco. The Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea includes a range of savoury delights, and a pint of local Beer. For the health conscious, the ‘Guilt-Free’ Afternoon Tea is filled with nutritious whole food recipes, made entirely without gluten, grains and refined sugar.

In Spring 2020, couples will be able to opt for an outdoor ceremony in the beautiful gardens, with a stunning backdrop of the magnificent building. Alternatively, ceremonies are held in the Shrewsbury Suite, alongside original mullioned windows and elegant chandeliers.
