Hannah Barrett is one of the leading London-based yoga instructors with a passion for helping people to transform their lives through yoga. Hannah enables her clients to find their strength and develop their own self practice, while breaking down complex poses to make them fun and accessible to all.

Hannah’s popularity within the fitness, yoga and pre / postnatal sector is clear to see after amassing a huge Instagram and social following of over 150k. Hannah’s online community gives her a world-wide following of loyal fans as well as her London and UK base.

Hannah was initially drawn to yoga in 2014 while pregnant with her son. Although she had always enjoyed exercise, Hannah had previously overlooked yoga, believing it wouldn’t give her a ‘real’ workout and that she wasn’t spiritual enough. Nonetheless, with a stressful job in finance, Hannah kept returning to the yoga mat becoming hooked on the feeling of calm, clarity and connection. This soon grew to a newfound strength within, helping her through pregnancy and motherhood and led to Hannah completing her Yoga Teacher Training and Pregnancy Training.

In the summer of 2017 Hannah’s daughter was born, and her birth and start to life, where she spent time in intensive care, was very traumatic. Following this, Hannah was hit with postnatal depression and posttraumatic stress disorder. Through using specialised breathing techniques, meditation and the physical practice of yoga, she began to cope and feel strong again in both her body and mind. Determined to help other mums to find their strength and develop their own self practice when they most need it, Hannah then undertook Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training.

Hannah has most recently released her first eBook ‘Strength Through Yoga’ with co-author and top physiotherapist Finola Burrell. The eBook is evidence based and recommended by medical experts and takes new mothers through a safe and effective journey to restore their strength through yoga, while supporting them in both their body and mind

The 16-week programme includes six weeks of physiotherapy-based exercises followed by ten weeks of yoga inspired circuits designed to increase full body strength and flexibility in just 25-30 minutes, three times a week. It also includes information and advice on the core and other essential muscles, mindfulness and mediation techniques, and common postpartum issues. The book is for all mothers, whether they gave birth yesterday or five years ago, had a c-section or natural birth, and whether they’re suffering from diastasis recti, prolapse or other common postpartum issues.

Hannah Barrett, Co-Author of Strength Through Yoga comments:

‘Through yoga I am happier and have learned to spend my time enjoying the present rather than living in the past or worrying about the future. My yoga classes are suitable for people of all ages and abilities, from total beginners to more advanced practitioners. I love helping others to find the magic that yoga brings by connecting to the breath, having fun and leaving any worries at the door.

I am thrilled to have released my first eBook ‘Strength Through Yoga’ with Finola Burrell, an incredibly talented Physiotherapist and Pilates teacher, and now a close friend. Our book is bespoke, and evidence based – it’s physio, midwife, women’s health and doctor approved. It is not just an exercise guide on how to get a sixpack and fit into your pre-baby jeans – as we know you need to work with the mind as well as the body – the deep muscles as well as the larger superficial muscles. We also cover many common postnatal issues like diastasis recti and prolapse, shedding light on issues that can be hard to talk about, and giving readers information on what they can do to help. I am very excited for the future, and I look forward to seeing how many lives we can touch using the art of yoga, whether that be via the book, face to face or social media.’
