Aaron Sorkin’s critically acclaimed stage adaptation of Harper Lee’s iconic novel To Kill a Mockingbird will embark on its first-ever UK & Ireland tour in 2025. Following sell-out seasons in both Broadway and the West End, the production is set to captivate audiences across the UK and Ireland.
The tour will kick off at Leeds Playhouse, where the production will run from 8 September to 4 October 2025. The gripping courtroom drama will then visit several cities including Nottingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bath, Cardiff, Salford, Sheffield, Dublin, Belfast, Plymouth, Canterbury, Southampton, Birmingham, Newcastle, Norwich, Liverpool, and Milton Keynes, with additional dates to be announced soon.
Sorkin’s adaptation brings fresh energy to Harper Lee’s classic tale, set in 1934 Alabama. It follows the story of Atticus Finch, a successful lawyer, as he faces the moral complexities of racial injustice while raising his children with values of empathy and kindness. As Finch seeks to uncover the truth in a town determined to conceal it, audiences are taken on an emotional and thought-provoking journey.
To Kill a Mockingbird was inspired by Lee’s own childhood and remains a powerful commentary on racism and innocence. The novel has sold more than 45 million copies globally, won the Pulitzer Prize for Literature, and remains a significant work in American literature, often making the lists of banned books.
