ANCIELA showcased its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, ROOTS, at the Regent Quarter in King’s Cross during London Fashion Week. Founded by designer Jennifer Droguett Espinosa, the brand presented a multidisciplinary showcase examining motherhood, personal memory, and humanity’s relationship with the natural world.
The presentation drew a direct parallel between the bond of a mother and daughter and humanity’s connection to Mother Earth. Integrating fashion, material innovation, sound design, installation art, and live performance, the event highlighted Espinosa’s broader approach to sustainable design and circular fashion.
Material choice formed the core of the SS27 collection. The designs combined deadstock and vintage fabrics with next-generation material alternatives, including textiles derived from seaweed and grape waste. By pairing traditional craftsmanship with bio-based innovation, the collection bridged historical garment-making practices with modern material science.
The event was supported by real estate investment firm Endurance Land alongside key partners, marking another milestone for the London-based label as it continues to advance sustainable practices within the fashion industry.
