The Art Car Boot Fair (ACBF) springtime Flora & Fauna edition promises to deliver all the joy of the famously exuberant art fair on a brand new digital platform, lovingly and carefully built by award winning developers Affinity with art world design team Fruitmachine. ACBF favourites including Polly Morgan, Pam Hogg, Marcus Harvey, Rankin, Pure Evil, Kristjana S Williams, Sara Pope, Anne Ryan, Geraldine Swayne, Jeremy Deller, Heath Kane, Charming Baker and Mat Collishaw will be joined by a host of exciting new participants, such as Miranda Boulton, The Masons, Matthew Collings, Aaron Bevan Bailey, Ben Eine, Stanley Donwood, Mekia Machine, the Hospital Rooms – featuring Mark Titchner, Richard Wentworth, Sonia Boyce and more – and many others.

Given the nation’s tentative emergence from a locked down winter, the ACBF Flora & Fauna Edition will present an abundant celebration of the natural world through the eyes, brushstrokes, hands, lenses and visions of a dewdrop-bright line-up of invited artists. Expect a profusion of works from emerging shoots and re-sprouting hardy perennials (!), with floral delights, curious creatures, nature made strange and even some dark spirits lurking in the bushes! The festival-style atmosphere of the Art Car Boot Fair will be channelled through a Programme of the Day curated to feature engaging and spirited artist-led adventures and experiences. Before you buy make sure to check out the Critic’s Choice selection from Louisa Buck and Nancy Dewe Mathews; join in with a life-drawing class like no other with Robert George Sanders & London Drawing; tune in to a fascinating discussion on diversity and inclusion in photography by stellar photo duo The Masons; watch a masterclass in painting from rising star Aaron Bevan Bailey, Photographer Yushi Li talks Sotheby’s Head of Photography Brandei Estes about Robert Mapplethorpe,  there’s a special reading from forthcoming book The Star Nosed Mole from famed gardener and photographer Isabel Bannerman and a fascinating short film on the making of Sara Pope’s first digitised artwork. And don’t forget to flex your own twitchy fingers (all adults welcome) at a special version of Euan Roberts’ fantastically popular kids’ lockdown drawing class. All artworks and wares are produced exclusively for the Art Car Boot Fair and range in price from £10-£5000 with most works within the £50-£500 range.

The ACBF Flora & Fauna event site has been built to handle the surge of the thousands of eager art buyers who flock every year to the Art Car Boot Fair the second it opens for business. Each artist will have their own virtual pitch featuring all of their available artworks and specially created content. There will be live links direct to artists’ studios, countdowns, waiting rooms, art drops, exclusive editions, lots of originals and a myriad of ways for visitors to get involved. The ACBF Shop will also launch over the weekend with an eclectic selection of artworks and a new range of ACBF products.

Art Car Boot Fair Members and ticket holders will receive Premium Access to ACBF Flora & Fauna from 10am on Saturday 15th May, and, as usual, the Fair will become free and open access to all from 10am Sunday 16th May so that everyone can have a virtual rummage and buy some art right through till 8pm Monday 17th May. Expect lots of final hour everything-must-go-price drops and grab a bargain!
