The British Fashion Council’s (BFC) Institute of Positive Fashion (IPF), DHL and Roland Berger today launch a new report on the environmental impact of returns in the fashion industry, with a suggested framework of recommendations. This research comes at a critical time, as the returns process in the UK generated 750,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions in 2022 and some 23 million garments sent to landfill or incinerated.
