The Tusting story began in 1875 with the family-owned leather tannery, which was initially used to supply premium leathers to the new English shoe factories of their time. This soon evolved into crafting luxury leather goods themselves from their vast collection of fine leathers and is currently run by the fifth-generation of Tusting family leather experts in their Buckinghamshire workshop.
With an ethos of “working luxury”, the Tusting philosophy is firmly rooted in the crafting of beautiful and brilliant leather bags that exemplify and uphold the standards of original British luxury. Each bag is manufactured with artisanal craftsmanship from full-grain, unadulterated leather within the family’s British workshop, situated in Northampton.
Specialising in fine natural, uncoated leathers Tusting also works with premium waxed canvas, tweed and scotch-grain. Boasting a broad collection of both men’s and women’s bags as well as luxury accessories, Tusting’s history is rooted in their extensive range of premium travel luggage. Tusting offer bespoke alterations through embossing, engraving, monogramming and custom colourways upon request.
Uniquely British, Tusting hand-craft every bag in their own leather-goods factory near Northampton where they have been designing and creating their exceptional products for almost 30 years. With a passion for the leather they work with – shying away from “corrected leathers” – Tusting’s leathers settle into life and gain their signature patina over the years.
