Whether you are employed or work for yourself, there may come a time when you are tasked with creating a presentation in order to try and win over some new clients. After all, while retaining current customers is vital, attracting new ones is also a crucial part of running a successful business. But what if you’re not particularly confident in your presentation skills?

Essential Presentation Tips To Help You Wow New Clients

Never fear! Here are some top tips to help you deliver a winning presentation on every occasion, impressing your potential clients – and boosting your confidence into the bargain.

    1. Create A Customised Message

Every client is unique and will want something from your business that is specific to their needs or situation. As a result, it’s important to craft a presentation that is customised to each individual client and their requirements.

To help you do this, it may help to write out precisely what your client declared as being the key issue they want to address. You can then draft a response, complete with examples of how you would help them achieve their goals, and then read through it to check that what you’ve written is actually relevant to their demands.

    1. Project Confidence – Not Arrogance

There’s no denying that in a client presentation, you need to make an effort to sell yourself and your company.

However, while a confident delivery is bound to help you impress them, you may need to be careful not to come across as too pushy or arrogant. Clients want to know that you’re approachable and that you will actually listen to what they want.

That being said, you shouldn’t be afraid to gently but firmly challenge them if you disagree with a particular method or tool they want to use to help them achieve their goal. It’s important to offer honesty at all times, even if that means not agreeing on every point.

    1. Ask For Valuable Feedback

If you have a particularly big presentation to give, and you’re not sure about your methods or delivery, it can be a great opportunity to get some feedback from your potential clients about your approach, the impression you project, and your strengths and weaknesses.

You can do this with the help of the Vevox app, which allows you to take live polls and Q&As effortlessly and creatively. Asking for input from your clients in this way will quickly and conveniently provide you with real-time feedback that you can use to tailor all of your future presentations.

    1. Always Provide Evidence

While there’s no denying the appeal of some witty anecdotes in the course of a presentation, what your clients will really want to see is some cold, hard evidence that you can actually provide them with valuable assistance.

This means offering them a range of accurate facts, figures, and essential metrics, so they can see that you have substance as well as style behind your pitch.

    1. Don’t Oversell

Lastly, don’t be tempted to become too over-zealous in your self-promotion during the presentation. You will come across as a much more appealing prospect if you show that you are firmly focused on your clients’ needs, rather than simply driving up your revenue.
