The international makeup artist trade show (IMATs) is the world’s largest collection of makeup artistry and the industries leading brands. It opens across the world in Los Angeles, New York, London, Toronto and Atlanta. It first opened in Los Angeles in 1997 as the brainchild of Emmy award winning makeup artist and MUA magazine publisher Michael Key.
The event draws in thousands of makeup artists, enthusiasts and trade exhibits sharing, presenting and procuring the best the industry has to offer. IMATS also features a museum of makeup and the Battle of the Brushes competitions.
Kitty Noofah, beauty editor of FAB UK magazine, is no stranger to this event. In 2016 she won 2nd place in the Battle of the Brushes beauty/fantasy competition
