The sights, sounds and flavours of Thailand have once again brought colour, energy and excitement to cities and parks across the UK, as the Magic of Thailand Festivals 2026 celebrate the country’s rich culture, traditions and unmistakable sense of fun.

Bringing together authentic Thai cuisine, traditional performances, live music, shopping, cultural experiences and family entertainment, Magic of Thailand gives visitors the opportunity to experience a taste of Thailand without having to leave the UK.
Kitty Noofah attended the Magic of Thailand Festival on behalf of FabUK Magazine, experiencing first-hand the vibrant atmosphere and meeting some of the people, businesses and organisations that help bring this colourful celebration to life.

Magic of Thailand was established in 2012 with a simple ambition: to bring Thailand to people’s doorsteps and give UK audiences an opportunity to discover and enjoy Thai culture.
Over the years, it has developed into a travelling celebration, bringing families, friends and communities together for weekends filled with Thai food, arts and crafts, traditional performances and entertainment.
Throughout 2026, Magic of Thailand has brought its festivals to locations including Wimbledon, Poole, Maidstone, Basingstoke, Nottingham, Warwick, Portsmouth, Guildford, Cambridge, Brighton, Manchester and London.

Visitors can experience everything from traditional Thai dancing and Muay Thai demonstrations to Thai massage, cultural entertainment, arts and crafts and Thai food and drink, alongside the entertaining “I’m British, Get Me Out of Here” competition and plenty more.
The festivals are organised by Jackie and the Magic of Thailand team, whose work behind the scenes helps bring this celebration of Thai culture to different communities across the country.

From bringing together independent traders and performers to coordinating entertainment, sponsors and the many other elements required to create each festival weekend, Jackie and the team are at the heart of the Magic of Thailand experience.
A Taste of Thailand
Naturally, food is one of the biggest attractions — and with the aromas of Thai cooking drifting between the stalls, it is difficult not to arrive hungry.
Visitors can explore an impressive selection of Thai dishes, street food, desserts and drinks, ranging from familiar favourites to flavours that offer an opportunity to discover something new.

Kitty spent time meeting and discovering some of the independent Thai businesses taking part in the festival such as
-MooMangMee
-Mae Bon Thai Street Food and Desserts
-ELLE THAI TRADITIONAL DRESSES
-Thai Aroy Zap
-Rin Cha Thai Cafe
Against the backdrop of Thai music, dancing and colourful performances, the clothing added to the feeling that visitors were being introduced to many different sides of Thailand in a single day.

Singha — Supporting Magic of Thailand
Another unmistakably Thai name playing an important role in the festival is Singha, one of the main sponsors of Magic of Thailand.
Kitty also had the opportunity to meet Ned, Head of the Singha UK team, during the festival.
More Than Food and Shopping
While visitors could happily spend hours exploring the food and shopping stalls, there is much more happening around the festival.
Thailand’s traditions and cultural heritage are celebrated throughout the day through traditional Thai dance and music, Buddhist monk blessings, Thai massage and fortune telling.
For visitors looking for something more energetic, Muay Thai demonstrations showcase one of Thailand’s most famous sporting traditions.

There is also entertainment for children and families, while the amusing “I’m British, Get Me Out of Here” competition adds a light-hearted challenge to proceedings.
Some visitors have Thai heritage or a personal connection with the country. Others have travelled to Thailand and come to the festival hoping to recapture some of the food, sounds and atmosphere they remember from their travels.
A special thank you goes to Jackie and the entire Magic of Thailand team for their welcome and for the work that goes into bringing these festivals to communities around the UK.

Thanks also to Ned and the Singha UK team, and to the traders, performers, sponsors and everyone working behind the scenes who contribute to making the festival happen.
See You Next Year!
