I’ve always believed that a home should not only look beautiful, but feel beautiful too. And for me, fragrance is such a big part of that.
I’ve been loving Ashleigh & Burwood for a while now, and their latest collection has given me even more reason to have a little fragrance obsession! From candles and reed diffusers to fragrance oils, incense and scented sachets, there are so many lovely ways to add fragrance around the home.
One of the newest additions that really caught my eye is the Linear Collection of Fragrance Lamps.
They have a much more simple, contemporary feel compared to some of the more decorative lamps in the collection, which I really like. They would look lovely styled on a console, coffee table or shelf and feel just as much a part of your interiors as they do a home fragrance piece.
The Linear Collection comes in some gorgeous shades, including Champagne, Frosted, Sage, Morello and Truffle.
My favourites have to be Champagne and Frosted. They’re both really easy to style and have that understated look I love.
One of my favourite things about Ashleigh & Burwood is the choice of fragrances. There really is something for every mood, whether you prefer something fresh and light, floral, fruity or a little warmer and more luxurious.
Merlot at Midnight is one I keep coming back to. It has a lovely rich, cosy feel that works so well in the evening when you want your home to feel a little more relaxed and inviting.
For an everyday fragrance, I love Amber & Orange Blossom. It’s warm and welcoming without being overpowering, and it’s the sort of scent I could happily have around the house throughout the day.
My first thought was well, how do i use a Fragrance Lamp?
If you haven’t used one before, it might sound a little complicated, but it’s actually really easy.
You simply fill the lamp to around two-thirds full with Ashleigh & Burwood Lamp Fragrance, place the snuffer cap over the stone and leave it for around 20–30 minutes so the wick can soak.
You then remove the cap and light the stone for around 2–3 minutes. Blow out the flame, replace the cap and add the decorative crown.
The lamp then releases the fragrance into the room, rather than having a flame burning like a candle. For a lovely burst of fragrance, Ashleigh & Burwood recommend letting it diffuse for around 30 minutes.
One little thing to remember is to always use Ashleigh & Burwood Lamp Fragrance with the lamp, as it has been specially made for the catalytic system. They do a lot more than refresh the air, they also help to rid any odours and they help keep your house and space feeling fresh and pure.
I love a fresh smelling bedroom and so I was so happy to know they have created some lovely scented sachets. They’re such a simple addition, but they make such a difference.
The scented sachets help keep your clothing to stay smelling fresh – mine still weeks on are smelling so fresh and just so easy to use with their slim line bag. Moroccan Spice and Amalfi Lemon and Sea Salt are my favourite scents but there are plenty more to choose from!
I like popping them into wardrobes, drawers and cupboards so there’s a lovely fragrance waiting whenever you open them. They’re especially nice with bedding, towels and clothes and are such an easy way to keep those smaller spaces smelling fresh.
There are also room and linen mists, hanging ceramics, fragrance oils, incense and reed diffuser refills, as well as the candles and diffusers. I love being able to mix and match different products around the house rather than having exactly the same scent everywhere.
My perfect fragrance combination would be a beautiful Fragrance Lamp in the living room, a reed diffuser in the hallway, a candle for those cosy evenings and a few scented sachets tucked away in the wardrobes and drawers.
I think fragrance is one of those little details that can completely change how a home feels. You can have the prettiest room in the world, but add the right scent and suddenly it feels even more inviting.
If I had to choose just two fragrances to start with, I’d go for Merlot at Midnight for the evenings and Amber & Orange Blossom for everyday. Their fragrances are just gorgeous, honestly, my favourites list could go on and on.
