The spirit of the Cannes Film Festival is continuing beyond the Riviera as Paris prepares to host a special rerun of this year’s acclaimed “Un Certain Regard” lineup. Following strong audience demand during the festival’s 79th edition, a curated selection of standout films from the prestigious sidebar section will return to the big screen across several Paris cinemas.
Beginning May 27 through June 2, moviegoers can catch the films at UGC Gobelins, mk2 Quai de Seine, and L’Arlequin, before the program moves to Pathé Convention cinema from June 10 to June 16.
Recognized for championing daring storytelling and distinctive cinematic voices, “Un Certain Regard” once again highlighted a diverse slate of emerging filmmakers and innovative works. This year’s top honor in the section went to Austrian filmmaker Sandra Wollner for EVERYTIME, a film praised for its striking artistic vision.
The 2026 selection places a strong emphasis on debut features and fresh international talent. Among the returning titles are BEN’IMANA by Marie-Clémentine Dusabejambo, which also earned recognition in the Caméra d’Or race, and Les Éléphants dans la Brume by Abinash Bikram Shah, winner of the Un Certain Regard Jury Prize.
Actor honors in the section went to Congo Boy directed by Rafiki Fariala, while Valentina Maurel’s Siempre Soy Tu Animal Materno (Ton Animal Maternel) received the Best Actresses Prize.
Other notable entries returning to Paris include films from Judith Godrèche, Jane Schoenbrun, Laïla Marrakchi, and Laetitia Masson.
A total of 16 films will screen during the Paris rerun, offering audiences another chance to experience one of the festival’s most adventurous and internationally diverse selections. Accredited Cannes guests will also be able to collect complimentary tickets on the day of each screening, subject to availability.
