London’s independent fashion scene welcomes a new chapter as SDCA Studio unveils REBIRTH: Collection #004, a collection centred on transformation, experimentation and giving discarded materials a new life.
The London-based womenswear brand describes its approach as empowered femininity through minimal-waste design, with its work founded, designed and made by a woman, for women. With REBIRTH, SDCA Studio continues this philosophy by exploring what can emerge when designers work with limitation, unpredictability and experimentation.
Taking place on 16 September 2026 at Green Alley Studios, 351-A Cambridge Heath Road, London E2 9RA, the Collection #004 launch brings together fashion, creativity and conscious design in an intimate East London setting.
Running from 7pm to 9pm, with a special performance at 8pm, the evening offers guests the opportunity to experience the collection beyond a conventional presentation. The event also features PYRF books, adding another creative and cultural dimension to the night.
At the heart of REBIRTH is the idea that discarded materials do not necessarily represent the end of a story. Instead, SDCA Studio looks at how existing materials can be reconsidered, reconstructed and given a new identity.
The collection’s emphasis on limitation and unpredictability makes experimentation part of the design language. Rather than pursuing conventional ideas of perfection and constant newness, REBIRTH explores the possibilities that can arise from working with what is already available.
This minimal-waste approach feels particularly relevant as conversations around responsible production and material use continue throughout the fashion industry. For an independent womenswear label, it also demonstrates how sustainability can become part of the creative process itself rather than simply an addition to it.
With Collection #004, SDCA Studio brings together femininity, resourcefulness and experimentation, transforming discarded materials into a collection that celebrates the potential for renewal — appropriately captured by its name, REBIRTH.
