Today, 22 year old rising afro-fusion artist Gwamz has released his new single ‘Pamela’ featuring Grammy nominated singer/songwriter producer Tay Iwar and Skeete. Listen HERE.
The vibrant track combines smooth melodies, and infectious rhythms. The single focuses on Gwamz’s quest to reunite with a mysterious encounter he met at Notting Hill Carnival in a modern twist on the classic Cinderella.Speaking about the single, Gwamz says: ‘Pamela is all vibes and bringing on Tay and Skeete made the song feel more alive. It brought the Uk afroswing, dancehall and afrobeats all in one and I think that’s something amazing.’
The single follows Gwamz’ single “Last Night” which garnered over 1.4 million streams and was championed as BBC Music Introducing Track of the Week. Heavily influenced by his African heritage and artists such as Knucks, H.E.R, Burna Boy, and Kojo Funds, the rising star has already garnered key tastemaker support from BBC Radio 1 Xtra, DJ Target, Remi Burgz, Capital Xtra, Kenny Allstar, GRM, SBTV and Link Up TV.
